Grant Description
The purpose of this research initiative is to examine the burden of illness imposed by advanced Heart Failure and the complex palliative care needs due to the multi factorial etiology and varying trajectories of disease in this population; Study the medical, physical and psychosocial relationships between disease status, symptoms, psychological and functional conditions, spiritual concerns and QOL; and Develop and test appropriate palliative and end-of-life care interventions for those with advanced HF and their caregivers.
