Initiative to Maximize Research Education in Genomics: Diversity Action Plan (R25): The NIH Research Education Program (R25) supports research education activities in the mission areas of the NIH. The over-arching goal of this NHGRI R25 program is to support educational activities that enhance the diversity of the biomedical, behavioral and clinical research workforce in genomics. This funding opportunity announcement seeks to expose underrepresented students at the undergraduate, postbaccalaureate and graduate levels to the foundational sciences relevant to genomics to enable them to pursue careers that span all areas of interest to NHGRI--genome sciences, genomic medicine and genomics and society.
