Innovative Strategies for Serving Children and Youth with Epilepsy (Project Access): The purpose of this cooperative agreement is to support a national organization to provide national leadership on improving access to comprehensive, coordinated health care and other services through innovative strategies for serving children and youth with epilepsy. This cooperative agreement will: 1. partner with other entities that have the capacity to implement innovative strategies of care for serving children and youth with epilepsy, 2. work with grantees funded under the Innovative Strategies in Epilepsy Care grant program to develop social marketing efforts in raising public and professional awareness about epilepsy, and reduce stigma especially among racial and ethnic minority families, provide technical assistance/capacity building, and support an independent evaluation of the system outcomes, 3. provide technical assistance to the Telehealth Services for Children and Youth with Epilepsy grantees and 4. provide trainings/symposiums to stimulate discussions with a range of stakeholders to improve the system of services for children and youth with epilepsy, including primary care providers, pediatric neurologists and epileptologists, families, hospitals, academic medical centers, federal and state agencies, community based organizations, payors and other professionals.

- Eligible applicants include public and private nonprofit entities, faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations. The applicant must be a national organization whose mission is to improve the lives of children with epilepsy and has the capacity to provide national leadership on improving access to services for children with epilepsy. Applicants must have significant experience in epilepsy care for children and youth. Applications that fail to show such experience will not be considered.
