Integrated Vegetation Monitoring for Fire and I&M Programs: Fire, especially combined with drought, is the most likely process through which vegetation shifts will occur in the coming decades. Monitoring of vegetation change in unburned and burned areas of the park is essential to manage park resources in this era of ongoing climate change. The I&M program and Fire Management fire ecology program have integrated vegetation and fire monitoring into a single collaborative program since 2013. The value of the I&M data and the collaboration between the fire and resource management programs have been described extensively in proposals to the Fire Reserve program (2016), OWF Resilient Landscape Program (2017), and the Fire Reserve Research Program (2017) . This project with MRT will continue ongoing post-fire monitoring projects at SAMO.
