Interpretation and Resource Management Interns: THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service's intention to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source justified master cooperative agreement. Master Cooperative Agreement Number P15AC00015 was entered into by and between the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, (NPS), and American Conservation Experience (ACE) to provide rewarding environmental service opportunities that harness the idealism and energy of a volunteer labor force to help improve America's public lands. This project provides hands-on and rewarding service opportunities for 7 youth that help develop a generation of skilled workers, educated and active citizens, future leaders, and stewards of natural and cultural resources. The ancillary benefit of this project is that the following work will be accomplished: managing 100 acres of exotic invasive vegetation, treating 100 acres of forest pests infected land, monitoring over 30 tributaries and primary waterways for water quality parameters, increase scientific knowledge of amphibians response to pesticides, mapping of underground infrastructure on public lands, sharing and organizing digital assets, teaching fourth graders about environmental topics, and engaging the public with activity oriented park programs.
