Grant Description
Planning grants for Interpreting America's Historic Places may be used by organizations to develop in detail the content and interpretive approach of projects prior to implementation. The "place" to be interpreted might be a single historic site, a series of sites, an entire neighborhood, a community or town, or a larger geographical region. The place taken as a whole must be significant to American history and the project must convey its historic importance to visitors. Applicants should already have defined the appropriate humanities content and themes in consultation with scholars and programming advisors. ** Note: This listing was modified to indicate the applicants must use cost sharing.**
