Investigating the Impace of River Regulation on Groundwater Supplies in the Western US: Under this co-operative agreement with the UI, a framework for evaluating aquifer sustainability along with a sustainability index will be developed. In addition, four Reclamation project areas will be evaluated using the framework. The framework and sustainability index will be applicable to aquifer systems associated with regulated water systems throughout the Western US and the four Reclamation project areas will serve as examples as to how the framework can be applied.
