Grant Description
The Natural Resources Conservation Service - Florida announces a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Architect and Engineering firms interested in contracting for A&E Services of civil, agricultural, and or environmental engineering services required to design, provide installation oversight, and certify installation of agricultural water control structures in the Lake Okeechobee watershed in Florida. The task orders are expected to be for civil, agricultural, and or environmental engineering services in support of the successful design and implementation of water control structures on farms and ranches in the Lake Okeechobee watershed. Services requested will consist of (1) initial field visits to obtain topographic surveys, geologic and/or soils information as needed, (2) development of exemption packages for Environmental Resource Permits (3) design and preparation of engineering plans and construction specifications including quantities and costs, (4) basic construction stakeout (5) basic construction oversight, and (5) certification of completed structures. Services provided shall be in accordance with NRCS standards, specifications, and documentation requirements as set forth in Section IV of the Field Office Technical Guide, National Engineering Field Handbook (NEFH) and the Florida supplements to the NEFH; and the ERP Exemption Application Package Guidance Document developed by the Florida Department of Agricultural and Consumer Services.
