Land Trust Rally 2011: The Division of Realty will award these funds to the Land Trust Alliance and receive "Patron" level sponsorship status for the annual Land Trust Rally. The Land Trust Rally is the preeminent meeting of land trusts, state and federal agencies, and other land conservation partners in the United States. With a growing focus on collaborative conservation and partnerships, enhancing the ability of local and state partners is critical for the Service to complete its mission in a cost-effective manner. The Land Trust Alliance promotes voluntary private land conservation to benefit communities and natural systems, and represents more than 1,700 land trusts across America. The LTA's mission -- saving the places people love by strengthening land conservation across America -- complements and often directly benefits the National Wildlife Refuge System. Over a four-day stretch, the LTA Rally will include field trips, seminars, exhibits, plenary sessions and dozens of concurrent workshops taught by the nation's leading conservation experts. "Patron" level sponsors will receive four complimentary registration passes, a full-page advertisement in the registration guide, and exhibit space. Additionally, the Division of Realty will present its "National Land Protection Award" at one of the plenary sessions before an audience of 1,000 people. The Land Trust Rally is the most significant gathering of its kind in the United States for land protection organizations, and is an outstanding opportunity for networking and establishing partnerships between these organizations and the Service.
