Leadership in Public Health Social Work Education (LPHSWE): This notice solicits applications for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 Leadership in Public Health Social Work Education (LPHSWE) Program. The LPHSWE Program aims to provide training and education, faculty development, and curriculum enhancement to prepare students for leadership roles in public health social work through enrollment in a dual master's degree program in both social work and public health.  Students benefit from dual enrollment in accredited schools of social work and public health by receiving training, education, and practice experience in interprofessional practice, leadership and management, research and evaluation, and policy development.

Additional Information on Eligibility
Eligible applicants include accredited health professions schools, including accredited schools or programs of public health or social work, health administration, preventive medicine, or dental public health or a school providing health management programs; academic health centers; State or local governments; or any other appropriate public or private nonprofit entity, including those that offers dual-degree programs leading to a Master of Social Work and a Master of Public Health. In order to be eligible under this NOFO, schools of public health and graduate programs in clinical social work named in the application as either the primary applicant or a partnering entity must be an accredited public or nonprofit private school.  Applicants must provide a copy of documentation of current accreditation by a recognized body or bodies approved for such purpose by the Secretary of Education as Attachment 1.  Tribes and Tribal organizations may apply for these funds, if otherwise eligible.  For profit entities are not eligible under this NOFO.  Individuals are not eligible to apply.  Eligible applicants must be located in the United States, the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau.  Foreign entities are not eligible for HRSA awards, unless the authorizing legislation specifically authorizes awards to foreign entities or the award is for research.  This exception does not extend to research training awards or construction of research facilities.
