- There is not an application process for the Legacy Data Project. This is a notice of intent to award a single source agreement in the amount of $230,000 to University of California, Davis under justificaiton 505 DM 2.14 (B4).
- Grant Description
- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) desires to work with a vendor able to assist with legacy data mining and spatial data development related to National Wildlife Refuges. The project will include the development of methods and processes for cataloging legacy data and development of spatial databases for natual resource management. Substantial agency and recipient ivolvement: Substantial involvement on the part of the service is anticipated for the successful completion of the objectives to be funded for this project. The Service intends to work jointly with partners to develop data mining methods, test methods on pilot Refuges and provide access to final data catalogs. Service data managers will review and approve methods, data structures and quality control/quality assurance developed for the project. The award of contracts, modificatons, or change orders and performance of all work on projects shall be exclusively within the control of the Government.
