Lincoln County Backcountry Access and Planning Project: This Funding Announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the Bureau of Land Management's intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition. The Lincoln County Conservation, Recreation, and Development Act of 2004 delineated 14 new Wilderness Areas in Lincoln County. This is a continuation of the Lincoln County Backcountry Planning project that began in September 2006 wherein the Great Basin Institute and the BLM cooperatively began wilderness planning focusing on resource protection as well as public education and information regarding wilderness rules.
