Livable Communities Initiative: The Administration on Aging (AoA) announced in the Federal Register on July 14, 2004 that it will hold a competition for a grant award to identify, assess, and disseminate information regarding the leading models of ?Livable Communities for All Ages.? The purpose of this grant award is to identify and showcase communities that best meet the criteria of a livable community, and to highlight promising practices that can be used by county and municipal governments throughout the country in preparing for the aging of the baby boom population.
