Longitudinal Studies of HIV-Associated Lung Infections and Complications (R01): -Purpose: Accelerate research on lung complications associated with HIV-infection by characterizing lung infections, other HIV-associated lung complications, and their consequences in longitudinal studies in existing HIV-infected cohorts and other established groups of HIV-infected patients. -The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) invites applications for 4-6 clinical research sites and a supporting Data Coordinating Center (DCC). -The total cost of the program is estimated at $30 million over 5 years ($6 million a year). We anticipate making 5-7 awards (1 DCC, 4-6 clinical sites) starting in FY 2007.

Foreign institutions are not eligible to apply. Eligible agencies of the Federal Government can apply. Faith-based or community-based organizations can apply. Each applicant may submit one application for this FOA.
