Grant Description
The Lost Coast Education Youth Program will develop and expand education programs for youth throughout the Mattole River watershed, King Range National Conservation Area (NCA), California Coastal National Monument (CCNM), and King Range Wilderness. The Lost Coast Education Program will focus on fish, wildlife and plant conservation resource management. This program is part of BLMs Youth Initiative Incentive Funding Program, which introduces young people to career pathways by involving them in programs or projects that engages youth in the outdoors, educates them about natural and cultural resources, and promotes stewardship. BLM will work cooperatively with a non-profit organization to develop and expand education programs for youth throughout the Mattole River watershed, King Range National Conservation Area (NCA), California Coastal National Monument (CCNM), and King Range Wilderness.
