MIDEH - Mejorando el Impacto al Desempeno Estudiantil de Honduras (Improving the Impact of Student Development in Honduras): USAID/Honduras is seeking applications for Assistance Agreements from eligible and qualified applicants for funding to support the program entitled "MIDEH". The purpose of this program is to provide USAID assistance in support of Honduras' Education for All-Fast Track Initiative (EFA-FTI) in cooperation with the Government of Honduras (GOH), other donors, civil society, and the private sector, working toward stated EFA goals to be achieved by 2015. USAID wishes to support key efforts begun with the creation of the Mejorando el Impacto al Desempeo Estudiantil de Honduras (MIDEH) project in 2003 to (1) build a national standards-based reform program and (2) create a sustainable system to support educational evaluation and measurement. This activity will support efforts that were initiated with the MIDEH activity under the EQUIP 1 Leader with Associate mechanism from 2007-2011. The priority focus for this phase of the activity will be on supporting implementation of tools and systems supporting curriculum reform and educational evaluation and measurement and making these activities sustainable; inclusion of civil society in supporting these activities; and cultivation of GOH leadership and responsibility for both technical and financial aspects of the activities supported by this project.
