Management of Devils Hole Pupfish: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intends to make a Single Source award to State of Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW). The FWS and NDOW will work cooperatively in a joint project to implement recovery actions for the endangered Devils Hole Pupfish. This is an intensive multi-faceted, long-term collaborative study which includes several years of data collection and the analysis of previous studies. The award will be made to NDOW because of their past involvement and expertise. As justification for Single Source Determination, in accordance with Department of the Interior guidance (505 DM 2.14), (4) Unique Qualifications, USFWS Reno Office provides notice of its intent to make a single-source award in the amount of $72,750.00 Substantial involvement on the part of the Service is anticipated for the successful completion of the objectives to be funded for these projects. The Service intends to work jointly with partners to train partners; collaborate on data collection activities; reviews and approves each stage of work bore the next stage begins; reviews and approves sub-grants prior to awards; and directs work of partners. Federal biologists will approve restoration designs, work in the field with partners, and provide technical expertise and participate in quality assurance efforts. The award of contracts, modifications, or change orders and performance of all work on projects shall be exclusively within the control of the Government.
