Master Cooperative Agreement: The objective(s) of this Agreement is to 1. Improve the capacity of the museum and recreation fields to develop accessible interpretive experiences of historic and cultural significance through innovative methodologies and new processes. 2. Understand the effectiveness of alternative solutions to accessibility barriers to exhibits and other features that interpret things of historic and cultural significance 3. Develop case studies of best practice (both the process and result) that further development of accessible exhibits. Public Purpose of this Agreement â¿¢ Develop and implement best practice examples of accessible exhibits and interpretive elements for the disability community, museum and recreation fields at the federal, state, local and private levels. â¿¢ Develop and implement a collaborative process for identifying solutions to accessibility challenges in exhibits and interpretive elements for the disability community and museum and recreation fields at the federal, state, local and private levels. â¿¢ Develop and implement methods for prototyping, testing, evaluating and conducting consumer research to guide accessibility solutions for exhibits and interpretive elements for the disability community and museum and recreation fields at the federal, state, local and private levels. â¿¢ Inform the disability community and museum and recreation professionals of the best practices, processes, and results through case studies, publications, training, etc. â¿¢ Provide members of the disability community with enhanced experiences at multiple Smithsonian and NPS sites.
