Applications will be restricted tomultiple-organization teams. The team mustbe comprised of at least one industrial organization. Collaborationsinvolvingeducational institutions, industrial companies, and research organizationsareencouraged. The primary applicant can be any organization ? for profit,non-profit, state and local government, Indian Tribe, or institution ofhighereducation, but not a FFRDC or an entity specifically created in response tothis funding opportunity announcement.
Grant Description
This is a Restricted Eligibility Announcement. Thisfinancial assistance is insupport of the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) strategic PlanGoal 6, Increase Energy Efficiency of Industry. Part of the EERE?sIndustrialTechnology Program?s (ITP) strategy in support of this goal is to supporthigh-risk high-reward research and development to reduce energy intensityinU.S. industrial manufacturing and processing by working with industrypartners. The projects to be selected under this funding opportunityannouncement would focus on development of materials or materialsprocessingmethods for energy efficient industrial processing.Interested parties should access the DOE Golden Field Office Home Page at,http://www.eere.energy.gov/golden/funding.html, and access the announcementinthe Industry Interactive Procurement System (IIPS) web site by clicking onthe?Access? link. The Golden Home Page also provides instructions onregisteringand submitting applications in IIPS.
