Media Education Program (MEP): The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi is pleased to announce an open competition for a Media Educational Program (MEP). U.S. media and non-profit/non-governmental organizations may submit proposals to manage a year-long project to support the professional development of freshly-graduated young Georgian journalists, newcomers to the digital journalism craft who are committed to professional development and are working for multi-platform operated media organizations - be they broadcasters, newspapers or news-agencies. The grantee will achieve program goals through robust professional study tours at U.S. training centers/studios, with site visits, and short internships with relevant U.S. digital media outlets. The applicant should work closely with PAS throughout the grant period to identify qualified Georgian participants. The project will award $250,000 to defray the costs of three-week intensive study tour for up to 25 Georgian participants.
