Mgt, Invasive Species, Ironwood Removal, Wake Island: The overall goal of this project is to control specific invasive trees, forbs, and shrubs on a remote tropical atoll which is under the management of the United States Air Force (USAF) Pacific Air Forces Regional Support Center (PRSC). The atoll has experienced episodic introductions of invasive plants over the years of its occupancy, however invasive species control tools exist and can be used on Wake atoll to control and potentially in some cases eradicate specific species from the islands. The Non-federal entity (NFE) shall specifically target Casuarina equisetifolia, Leucaena leucocephala, Opuntia sp., and Agave sp. in specific locations on the atoll, which are described in the scope.
