Migratory Bird Joint Ventures - Mountain Prairie Region - FY2007 Opportunities: This announcement is for funding opportunities available for Fiscal Year 2007. Joint Ventures (JVs) are regional, public/private partnerships for advancing the conservation of important bird habitats within the Mountain-Prairie Region (the states of Kansas, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah only) through biological planning, implementation of habitat conservation actions, focused monitoring, and evaluation of the planning and implementation processes, and communication. Management Boards provide general oversight and guidance of the partnership. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service provides basic administrative funding to the JVs to cover costs associated with coordination; planning; monitoring and evaluation; communications and outreach; and project development and implementation. The JVs may in turn provide federal assistance for activities within those categories to address the partnerships needs and objectives. Contact the JV Coordinator to discuss. JV Coordinator: 303-236-4412.
