Grant Description: Purpose. This Funding Opportunity Announcement FOA issued by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, National Institutes of Health, solicits grant applications from institutions/ organizations that propose to confirm and characterize the genetic associations for type 2 diabetes identified from Genome Wide Association Studies (GWAS) studies in multiple ethnic groups that make up the United States population.
