Grant Description: Purpose. This FOA issued by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), National Institutes of Health (NIH), encourages grant applications for Biomedical Technology Resource Centers (BTRCs) that are funded using the P41 mechanism. BTRCs conduct research and development on new technologies that are driven by the needs of basic, translational, and clinical researchers. BTRCs also make their technologies available, train members of the research community in the use of the technologies, and disseminate these technologies broadly. Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the P41 grant mechanism. Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. Because the nature and scope of the proposed research will vary from application to application, it is anticipated that the size and duration of each award will also vary.
