NIH Competitive Revision Applications for Research Relevant to the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (U01): This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites cooperative agreement research (U01) Revision applications from investigators with active U01 research project awards issued by one of the participating Institute/Centers (ICs) listed in this FOA to support an expansion of the scope of approved and funded U01 projects involving smoking and tobacco-related products and/or their constituents. Revision U01 applications for projects that have not originally focused on tobacco use are welcome provided that the proposed revision addresses the research priorities related to FDA regulatory authority that are identified in the FOA. The awards under this FOA will be administered by NIH using designated funds [from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products (CTP)] for tobacco regulatory science mandated by the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (FSPTCA), Public Law 111-31.
