NOTICE OF INTENT: Maintaining Access to Recreation Opportunities by Controlling Invasive Plants: Project Goals ¿ Interns will gain practical experience in managing non-native plant species, reducing fuel loads, mitigating wildfire damage, restoring native plant species, and monitoring treatment effectiveness. Project Objectives ¿ The objective of this Task Agreement is to support and stimulate work, education, and training opportunities for young adults through collaborative participation in mapping and removing non-native vegetation, conducting natural resource monitoring, managing and restoring native vegetation, improving wildlife habitat, and enhancing visitor viewscapes. Ancillary benefits include protecting fire-sensitive native vegetation from wildfire and protecting public safety and adjacent private property in the wildland urban interface.
