Nanotielectrics for Pulsed Power Applications: The objective of this program is to develop next generation nanodielectric materials for use in high energy density capacitors with a packaged energy density of 4 J/cm3. In addition to dielectric materials development and evaluation, the contractor shall evaluate and develop processing and manufacturing methodologies for improved performance. Novel, lightweight dielectric material systems that are capable of operation at several mega joules per pulse and repetition rates on the order of 100 pps bursts are needed for pulsed power applications.
