National Fetal, Infant, and Child Death Review Program: The purpose of the FICDRP is to reduce fetal, infant, and child deaths by improving the quality of fatality reviews and providing evidence-based prevention strategies. Currently, there are approximately 1,350 Child Death Review (CDR) teams and 175 Fetal Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) programs in the United States. This cooperative agreement will provide two categories of funding to improve and strengthen state and local capacity of the FIMR programs and CDR teams to perform complete and accurate fetal, infant, and child death reviews.
