- Grant Description
- The purpose of this cooperative agreement with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is to update the 2006 Needs Assessment project, "Matching Assistance to Firefighters Grants to the Reported Needs of the U.S. Fire Service" (FA-304/October 2006). Language set forth in the conference report (House Report 111-298) which accompanies the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2010 (P.L. 111-83), stated that FEMA, in conjunction with the National Fire Protection Association, is requested to provide to the Committees an update to the U.S. Fire Service Needs Assessment consistent with the last assessment completed in February 2006 in its scope and methodology.
