Indian tribal organizations Racial and Ethnic disparities are a significant problem with regard to access to healthcare services, risk for vaccine preventable disease, and disease burden. Research has shown that barriers associated with racial and ethnic disparities can be addressed through providing education, educational materials, healthcare services, and technical assistance using racial, ethnic, and linguistically appropriate means. This announcement is limited to organizations that are national in scope and that target specific racial and/or ethnic minorities within the United States population. National is defined as having an active membership or constituency in multiple states or regions throughout the country. National organizations will be able to ensure that activities and products from the cooperative agreement are conducted in a manner that will maximize the population that may benefit from this program. Organizations that target minority populations are uniquely qualified to develop and administer programs that are racially, ethnically, and linguistically appropriate for the target population.

- The purpose of the program is to assist National Minority Organizations (NMOs) with the promotion and improvement of childhood, adolescent, and adult immunization coverage levels among racial and ethnic minorities.
