National On-line Resource Center for Violence Against Woment: CDC?s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, ?National On-line Resource Center for Violence Against Women?. Approximately $770,000 is available to fund one award to public and private nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations and community-based organizations that currently have a searchable, on-line, full-text collection of resources that address violence against women (VAW) as well as existing technological infrastructure to support the growth of the collection and web-based discussion forums. The purpose of the program is to support an on-line, publicly accessible collection of resources and discussion forums on VAW within an organization that currently manages an on-line collection. It is expected that the awards will begin on or about September 1, 2004.
