- Eligible applicants that can apply for this funding opportunity are listed below: Applicants are limited to national organizations with the capacity, skills and knowledge to successfully carry out identified project(s) and to those who possess the following: 1) knowledge of and experience working with state and local public health organizations, particularly health departments; 2) expertise in the field of public health nutrition; 3) demonstrated ability to access and reach state, tribal and local level audiences; 4) ability to help states integrate nutrition strategies with physical activity and other obesity prevention strategies; 5) demonstrated skills and experience in needs assessment and training; and 6) demonstrated ability to support the National Council of State Fruit and Vegetable Coordinators, consisting of the Fruit and Vegetable Coordinators from all 50 state health departments.

- CDC's Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, "National Organizations for Nutrition Programs". Approximately $2,750,000 will be available to fund one award.
