This FOA is limited to the nine Spina Bifida grantees currently funded under PA DD08-001: University of Alabama at Birmingham; Cincinnati Children's Hospital; Children's Hospital of Los Angeles; University of Colorado Denver; Connecticut Children's Medical Center; Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis; Children's Hospital of Wisconsin; Oregon Health and Science University; Seattle Children's Hospital. These are the only sites in the United States that have experience collecting data using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) developed for and used in the current award.
Grant Description
CDC's Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, "National Spina Bifida Registry Longitudinal Data Collection and Evaluation (U01)". Approximately $630,000 will be available to fund 9 awards. The objective of this FOA is to continue with the collection of data started under FOA DD08-001 aimed at improving the care of individuals with spina bifida in the U.S. to establish the feasibility of longitudinal data collection in the clinic setting.
