National Swine Research and Resource Center: The purpose of this Request for Applications (RFA) is to solicit proposals to establish a National Swine Research and Resource Center (NSRRC). This resource will be for depositing, maintaining, preserving, and distributing swine models for studies of human diseases, as well as cryopreservation, storage, and reconstitution of embryos and germplasm. These activities will be organized under the auspices of the NSRRC with the necessary administrative and quality control infrastructure. Through appropriate research investigations, the NSRRC also will advance research and technologies to improve the utility of swine models for biomedical research.
