- TECHNICAL TOPIC 6 - Natural Gas Exploration,Production and Storage(DE-PS26-05NT42317-06)The objective of this topic is innovative methods and concepts that willallowmore efficient, economical, and environmentally acceptable recovery ofnaturalgas. Novel improvements in recovery techniques could lead to lowerproductioncosts and/or greater recovery efficiencies. The DOE apos;s interest indrilling, completion, and stimulation is to lower capital investment, improverecovery, and minimize formation damage. Collectively, these objectives are expectedtoreduce the unit cost of accessing and producing natural gas. Thetechnologyfocus for low-permeability formations emphasizes improvements in thedetection, mapping and analysis of naturally fractured gas reservoirs so thateconomicalrecovery methods may be realized. Program activity in gas delivery andstorageis focused on assisting the storage industry in the development of new orexisting storage system capacity and deliverability. Finally, environmentalaspects of producing gas wells emphasize methods to reduce the costs ofachieving environmental compliance in the various production regions withinthestates.ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE ?SUBMIT QUESTION?
