New Analytical and Imaging Technologies for Lignocellulosic Material Degradation, for Multiplexed Screening for Plant Phenotypes: The Office of Biological and Environmental Research(BER) of the Office ofScience (SC), U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), hereby announces itsinterest inreceiving applications for research that supports the Genomics: GTLresearchprogram (www.genomicsGTL.energy.gov). In the first part of this notice,applications are solicited for the development of technologies for studyinglignocellulosic systems, real-time characterization of such systems in thecourse of processing, and other innovative techniques that could facilitatelignocellulosic material degradation. The second part of this noticesolicitsthe development of improved methods leading to high throughput, sensitive,andselective phenotypic screening of plant feedstocks.
