Grant Description
Purpose. The goal of this funding opportunity announcement, issued by the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation, is to encourage grant applications from institutions/organizations that propose discovery research that may create entirely new areas of biomedical investigation through bridging the physical and life/behavioral sciences. Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the R01 grant mechanism. Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. Because the nature and scope of the proposed research will vary from application to application, it is anticipated that the size and duration of each award will also vary.
