New Mexico Conservation Technical Assistance for Outreach and Education: The Natural Resources Conservation Service -New Mexico (NRCS-NM), an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), is seeking to partner with and support the efforts of natural resource conservation partners to promote public awareness and implementation of conservation activities by conducting conservation outreach workshops and training that will educate New Mexico's agricultural community, private landowners, conservation organizations, cooperating agencies, acequias, and land grants. Proposals must be for projects based only in New Mexico and focus on conservation. Research proposals will not be accepted nor considered for funding under this announcement. Federally recognized Indian tribal organizations, state government, local governments, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, and institutions of higher education will be given competitive consideration of awards for projects 1 year in duration. NRCS will only accept applications submitted by eligible entities. Applicants must submit their applications via Grants.gov by 11:59 pm Eastern Time, May 5, 2021. Questions regarding this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NFO) may be submitted until April 9, 2021. The agency expects to notify applicants of the decision to award or reject their proposals by June 4, 2021. Successful awardees should plan for project start date of July 12, 2021. The funding floor for this opportunity will be $10,000 and the funding ceiling is $20,000. The funding floor means the minimum agreement funding amount for the Federal share per agreement awarded. The ceiling is the maximum agreement funding amount for the Federal share per agreement awarded. Total funds allocated for awards under this Notice of Funding Opportunity is $100,000. The New Mexico State Conservationist reserves the right to reject any or all applications.
