New Mexico Conservation Technical Assistance for Outreach and Education: Notice of Funding Opportunity Summary NRCS, an agency under the USDA, in the New Mexico State Office, is seeking to partner with, and support the efforts of, natural resource conservation partners and promote public awareness and implementation of conservation activities including, but not limited to, conducting conservation outreach workshops and training, that will help educate New Mexico's agricultural community, private landowners, conservation organizations, cooperating agencies, acequias, and land grants. Proposals must be for projects based in New Mexico and focus on conservation. Research proposals will not be accepted, nor considered as part of this announcement. Proposals are requested from Federally-recognized Indian Tribal Organizations, state government, local governments, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, or institutions of higher education for competitive consideration of awards for projects 1 year in duration. This notice identifies the objectives, eligibility criteria, and application instructions. Proposals will be screened for completeness and compliance with the provisions of this notice. Incomplete and/or noncompliant proposals will be eliminated from competition, and notification of elimination will be sent to the applicant. The New Mexico State Conservationist reserves the right not to fund any or all applications. NRCS will accept applications under this notice for single year applications submitted by eligible entities. Key Dates Applicants must submit their applications via Grants.gov by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on April 22, 2023.
