Nhlbi Minority Institutional Research Training Program (T32): The NHLBI Minority Institutional Research Training Program is a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Program intended to support training of graduate and health professional students and individuals in postdoctoral training at minority schools having the potential to develop meritorious training programs in cardiovascular, pulmonary, hematologic, and sleep disorders. Graduate and health professional students and individuals in postdoctoral training in minority schools need further opportunities to develop biomedical and behavioral research skills. The NHLBI Minority Institutional Research Training Program is designed to attract students in their developmental stages; to increase their awareness of cardiovascular, pulmonary, hematologic, and sleep disorders research; and to encourage them to pursue research career opportunities in these areas.
