North American Fatigue Management Program: In direct support of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's mission, this cooperative agreement is between US Department of Transportation/Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)and the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA). FMCSA and CCMTA will develop a Fatigue Management Program (FMP). The FMP would be applicable to all motor carriers, regardless of size, throughout North America. The FMP would provide information regarding operator fatigue awareness and training; interventional countermeasures followed by an empirical assessment of the program efficacy; and strategies to implement the program industry-wide.
