This Cooperative Agreement is being awarded on a sole source bases to the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators.
Grant Description
In direct support of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's mission, this cooperative agreement is between US Department of Transportation/Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)and the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA). FMCSA and CCMTA will develop a Fatigue Management Program (FMP). The FMP would be applicable to all motor carriers, regardless of size, throughout North America. The FMP would provide information regarding operator fatigue awareness and training; interventional countermeasures followed by an empirical assessment of the program efficacy; and strategies to implement the program industry-wide.
