Notice of Intent: Advanced Warning of Volcanic Activity Using Digital Telemetry Networks at Alaska Volcanoes: Notice of Intent to award a cooperative agreement to the State of Alaska, Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys (ADGGS) in the support of the project entitled "Advanced Warning of Volcanic Activity Using Digital Telemetry Networks at Alaska Volcanoes". The main objective of this agreement is the development of a robust system of digital data collection monitoring instruments that will provide Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) scientists with advanced warning of volcanic activity in Alaska. The ADDGS has been a partner in the AVO since 1988 and has gained deep expertise in conduction yearly field work and maritime and aviation logistics coordination unique to Alaska and the AVO's needs. The ADDGS field technicians are very familiar with monitoring network maintenance and the technical expertise necessary to successfully carryout the analog to digital conversions that will ultimately result in improved monitoring networks and higher date quality.
