Notice of Intent: Hubble Trading Post Youth Training in Farming and Animal Husbandry: The objective of this Agreement is to provide training and skills in the care and maintenance of Hubbell Trading Postâ¿¿s restored agricultural and cultural landscape, and animal husbandry. A crew will learn and irrigate the fields 2 -3 times a week and weed as weeds are growing. Also, learn to care for newly planted orchards once or twice a week, and learn planting techniques by planting and caring for the interpretive kitchen garden which is situated behind the historic Hubbell home. Also learn to care for the parkâ¿¿s horses, sheep, goats, chickens, and Llama. Livestock will be cared for on a daily basis through feeding and watering, cleaning of the pens will be done weekly, and taking out for grazing, and learning how to administer medication and supplements. They will also maintain the cultural landscape such that it is aesthetically pleasing for the visiting public. In addition, they will assist in park events providing demonstrations and information on agricultural practices and or assist NPS staff during events related to what they are learning.
