- A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD is issued by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to the Lewis and Lark Law School according to 505 DM 2.14 (4) [refer to the attached NOI justification]. NO COMPETITION IS EXPECTED - PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY. The purpose of this agreement is to provide sponsorship for two (2) third-year (entering their 3rd year in the fall of 2011) law students. The USFWS will supervise and provide agency guidance on specific refuge and cultural issues associated with Indian law and policy. The students will receive valuable real world experience which can be applied to natural resource law and theory in the workplace specifically applied to the following federal acts: National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act of 1990, and the Archaeological Resources Protection Act of 1979.
