Novel Approaches To Study Polymicrobial Diseases (R01): -Purpose. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) issued by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD),and the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), National Institutes of Health (NIH), solicits research grant applications to conduct studies designed to develop innovative approaches that would contribute to our understanding of the mechanisms that impact on the virulence of infections involving two or more microorganisms or strains of microorganisms (with the exception of HIV). -Mechanism of Support.
