Grant Description
The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) seeks to continue the training, technical assistance, evaluation, and program management effort for the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Training and Technical Assistance Program. OJJDP created the ICAC Task Force Program under the authority of the 1998 Justice Appropriations Act (Public Law 105-19) and has funded the program with successive appropriations. The ICAC Task Force Program helps state and local law enforcement agencies develop an effective response to the online exploitation of children and the trafficking of child pornography. The program was created to focus a coordinated response upon this problem, bringing together the investigative and forensic resources of multiple agencies to better protect children. Forty-six regional task force agencies receive funding through this program and have responsibility for all 50 states.
