OJJDP FY 2008 Gang Prevention Coordination Assistance Program: Youth gangs continue to have a significant adverse impact on youth, families, and communities across America. A growing number of communities have adopted multi-strategy, multi-disciplinary approaches to reducing gang activity. The OJJDP FY 08 Gang Prevention Coordination Assistance Program provides funding for localities to enhance coordination of Federal, state, and local resources in support of community partnerships implementing two or more of the following antigang strategies: primary prevention, secondary prevention, gang intervention, and gang enforcement. This program is authorized by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2008, Pub. L. No. 110-161.
