- Applicants are limited to states (including territories), units of local government (including federally-recognized tribal governments, as determined by the Secretary of the Interior), nonprofit and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations), and institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education). OJJDP welcomes joint applications from two or more eligible applicants; however, one applicant must be clearly indicated as the primary applicant (for correspondence, award, and management purposes) and the others indicated as co-applicants.
- Grant Description
- The Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA) of 1974, as amended, 42 U.S.C. Sec. 5631-5633 and the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, as amended (42 U.S.C. 3796ee et. seq) authorize the Administrator of OJJDP to provide training and technical assistance to states, tribes, and units of local government or nonprofit organizations to support the justice systems response to juvenile delinquency. OJJDP will award a cooperative agreement to an organization that will provide training and technical assistance to state and local juvenile justice formula and block grantees and subgrantees to assist them in planning, establishing, operating, coordinating, and evaluating delinquency prevention and juvenile justice systems improvement projects.
