OVC FY 08 Counseling and Faith-Based Services for Crime Victims in Indian Country: This grant provides up to $750,000 to enhance the ability of victim services organizations to collaborate with and support tribal, nonprofit, and faith-based organizations in American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities to provide counseling services to victims of crime, and to determine best practices for facilitating counseling services by faith-based organizations. Applicants must have knowledge and understanding of AI/AN victimization issues and a credible capacity to work with faith-based and tribal organizations.
