Additional Information on Eligibility: Foreign institutions are not eligible to apply. The applicant institution must have a well-established record of research career development activities and demonstrate a commitment to research and to the continuing development of the candidate as a productive independent scientist. The institution must provide assurance that the candidate is an integral part of its research and academic program and must certify that the candidate will be released from other duties and be able to devote at least 75% effort to the research program. The institution must also delineate the duties from which the candidate will be released in order to devote this effort.
